About the Event Host:

MaryAnn Loo is a PenguinGirl (and visual artist) who lives with her Dreamer Penguins in PenguinLand, a world of possibilities, love and dreams coming true; a land of castles, trees and adventure in the sky. As an imaginative illustrator and doodler, MaryAnn specializes in her mixed media paintings about PenguinLand, and getting others to explore their own creativity, self-expression, and possibilities. Since her first self-curated solo exhibition in 2013 which jump-started her professional art career, this PenguinGirl has also curated and organized 2 group exhibitions, illustrated children’s books and painted murals, while working on various other projects. Though she is half-human-half-penguin, MaryAnn enjoys bringing people together to have fun in various activities such as drawing from one’s imagination and the sharing and exchange of ideas. Besides penguins, she also loves chocolate and ducks, and absolutely dislikes ketchup and false penguins. Check out her latest updates: @penguingirl_art
